One baby - 4 mouths to feed
KZ KRA Z

I stand here
humble,
before my wise peers

a question
rumbles,
asleep grinding gears

proud guardian
of an orphaned baby KZ,
though it was born
in distant 83
( JKAKZFC1 tattooed on it’s neck )
though our experience together is LTD
I have 550 reasons to love it
like all babies,
I know-
it’s always in need.
after all, it takes 4 bottles to feed ( TK )

spitting up it’s milk (and soaking it’s bib- *filter*)
but not just so simple as that,
mixing it’s milk with it’s baby oil
the moment I turn my back

from what I’ve heard,
it’s genetic among it’s peers
if so, I’ll tolerate the quirks
to improve it’s remaining years

but, might it be something cultural,
learned
in some damp dark garage corner
from some dice throwing, opportunistic, inattentive jerks?

my obligation to myself
and to baby
is to provide the best of care
without suppression of character

I need to know if I am dropping the ball.
am I feeding it wrong?
the wrong formula? ( I can’t pay to have it suckled )
do I need to burp it after every feeding?

I’ve changed it
but am afraid to turn it over
for fear of what I might see
because this all smells bad

something horrible is wrong with baby
I just know it
you can tell me
I can take it
only 1 outside carb and cases wet under petcock, all else dry. Could it be just one float?… or does its appearance on the kickstand side have relevance? Petcock seems strangely dry… as if to taunt the investigator. Filer wet. (even airbox to carb retainer spring is wet) Oil thin and smells of gas. Tank bone dry, but oil level was not much over normal. I’ve heard of stuck floats
and temper mental petcocks. I rebuilt the petcock. New oil / air filter. Have not added fuel or oil yet for fear of similar contamination until I know if the carbs need to be cleaned…. I am ascared. Baby sits there waiting. Can I drop the bowls only, to effect a float clean? Please oh please. I am a carb-idiot. I look at them and by butt puckers. Poor baby. There there. They will help us…. They will… nervous guardian.

Stacked this
Dry that
Liquid this
Inject that

DAMN IT THIS IS BIKING
NOT ROCKETRY
IT’S ABOUT THE GEARS
THE CHAIN
THE METAL
THE CARNIVAL FEELING
WOOHOO DAMN IT
WOOHOO IT UP
ARE YOU WORRIED ABOUT YOUR COMFORT WHEN YOU GET ON A ROLLARCAOSTER?
THE TILT O’ WHIRL?
THE FLOOR DROPPING SPINNING WASHING MACHINE WHIRL A HOOPTIE?
THE FLYING BUCKET WITH THE GIANT RUDDER THINGER ON THE BACK?
HAYELL NO I SAY!
YOU DON’T EXPECT TO FEEL COZY, COMFY, AND SECURE!
IT’S A RIDE!
A DAMN RIDE!
IT’S NOT THE ‘A’ TRAIN!
YOU’RE A SNAPPED CHAIN AWAY FROM DISASTER!
A FORK SEAL AWAY FROM ROAD RASH!
THAT IS WHAT BIKING IS ALL ABOUT!
THAT IS WHAT MAKES BIKING WORTH THE EFFORT!
THRILLS!
CHILLS!
SPILLS!
IF YOU DON’T WANT THAT THEN BUY A CAR!

WHIRLING PISTONS CLUNKS THUMPS AND VIBRATING BUZZ SAW LIKE TACTILIZATIONS DAMN IT!
I AM TALLER THAN BUGS BUNNY’S EARS NOW!
I GET TO RIDE THE RIDE!
AGAIN
AND AGAIN
AND AGAIN!
UNTIL I PUKE WITH GLEE!
EAT THE DAMN FUNNEL CAKE PEOPLE!
IT WILL LOOK GOOD ON YOUR SHIRT!

By the way…I love you all in a respectable, not overly expressive and attention drawing sort of way wink

i've had that problem with several bikes and its always started with the left carb. you should be able to remove the one bowl pull the float pin to inspect the needle. if it has a rubber tip with a groove in it you might need to replace it if its metal tipped clean the needle and seat thoroughly and put it back together.
I would recommend checking and cleaning them all.
