Can't hardly remember seeing a record setting pro stockers or supper bike without em so I'd say they're bound to add a little........ a friend of mine used to run a 1170cc KZ for a few years and it had stacks with screens over em and I remember him telling me he ran them on the street but always removed them (the screens) at the strip cause he would pick up a solid tenth with em off.

depends on your state of tune carbs/cams/porting wise
I do use them in my road racers, help with the power dip around 5-6K
with different stack lengths you can alter the curve, shorter for higher revs, longer for mid range
essentially even the stock intake rubbers are stacks...
to get the most of them you'd need to try on the dyno
they sure look good though

It also depends on how one plans to use the bike. Used for just a few miles per year on a relatively clean race track may not cause problems, but If one plans to use open stacks on the street it will soon decrease the engine's power as the road grit, etc. grind away like sand paper at the cylinder walls and piston rings. This is especially true of some modded bikes I've seen that have no fender or other shield between the rear tire and the stacks. In that case they suck stuff in at an accelerated rate and the engine can be damaged pretty quickly.
In this case there are some filter elements that cover the stacks, so depending on the quality of those filters the stacks may not suck in the road muck that causes problems. Ed
