DMG out of racing!!!

"Daytona Motorsports Group (DMG) confirms the transfer of sanctioning, operational, promotional and commercial rights for professional motorcycle road racing to the American Motorcyclist Association (AMA) and KRAVE Group.

Thank God DMG is gone from American pro road racing in this country. They just about killed it with their NASCAR style of marketing. They even managed to bring the Daytona 200 which not too many years ago was an important international event down to something that resembled a amateur 600 Supersport race!!!

They only had four tracks for the whole 2014 road race season. The new group that includes Wayne Rainey, Skip Aksland, and some other important people should bring American road racing back to what it was just a few years ago. I remember when there used to be over 80 riders on the grid at Daytona. last few years it was like 25 riders!!!! Too bad they could not bring back the 250cc Expert class. That race was always a close and interesting race no matter what track they raced on. I wish the new KRAVE group all the best in turning around America's pro road racing scene.

I live just 40 miles from Daytona International Speedway and I couldn't be bothered of late to go to the Daytona 200 race at all. Years ago I really enjoyed seeing great motorcycle racing that was the Daytona 200 and often with international riders and their mounts. DMG sure did a bang up job so to speak.
