all your savings will be meaningless if fit is not right. too tight you will not be able to bend, too loose and armor will rotate upon impact and not protect you. drag your rear cushions to a proper shop that has someone knowledgeable.

I second that motion. If you are not a "normal size" most off the shelf stuff will not fit properly.
It also seems that American cows have thicker hides than cows in most foreign countries. I would not want to step off my bike with some of those foreign made suits.
I like BATES, made in America by Americans with American cowhide.
Rather it be cowhide than my hide!!!!

You get what you pay for. Boy do they fit nice!! I never waited more than 3 or 4 months for any of my custom made leathers. I have Bates leathers that are 30 years old and the leather is still nice and soft.
I stepped off my bikes a few times back when I was road racing. NEVER had a Bates suit wear through or come apart when I hit the asphalt. Plus their repair shop can fix your leathers in no time when you need them back fast. When your Vietnamese made leathers come apart, are you going to send them back to Saigon??
I like giving my money to AMERICAN companies when I can.

Of course not cheap. But will make you think of the cheap stuff, if your into serious safety on the track!
There is a whole lot of valuable collectibles hanging there. I'm wondering why they are not preserved better in like a show case?
