Police items for 1979 Kawasaki KZ1000-C2 Police was created by Bernt
Hello, I have just bought a 79 KZ1000-C2 Police which comes from LA. Started to strip down for restoration.
It is missing its police equipment which I am searching for. Anyone in the forum who has some parts for sale?
- Carrier for the radio box part no 53029-4001 and bracket part no 23062-4001 and shock absorber part no 45014-4005
- Motorola Radio Box, black type. Several types could be used. Should have "Motorola" decal in blue letters on the sides
- Motorola dospatcher unit type transistorized dispatcher model "Z31BAT" or the newer dual-Maxar model Q2239A"
- Motorola radio control head type CHP "Maxar" unit
- Motorola microphone black or brown
- Siren make Federal Signal type MC-C
- Siren Amplifier
- Motorola antenna
The electrical parts does not have to be in working condition
I am living in Norway. Parts can be shipped within the US to delaware where I use a freight forwarding company for export shipment to Norway. That would make it easier for the seller i believe. Hope for some positive response!
Have enclosed a picture of my bike.
Best regards,
Bernt Ege

I have several restored bikes along with a 2006 Goldwing with a sidecar. My wife has a 2019 Suzuki DR 650 for on and off road.

I can't help you with your parts search but does that gas pump in the background actually work?

If it's any help this place appears to have the carrier that you listed available. Good luck...

Can't help with parts, sorry.
Here's a Police model I saw a few weeks back at a local Meet.
He had duct tape over the red and blue lights up front:

Yes the gas pump works, so in theory I could have had my own petrol station But it is not allowed to store any larger quantities of gas privately in Norway.

Yes, it is a European version 1983 Z1000R model. Completely original one owner when I bought i last year. Needs a chassis restoration due to bad storage over the years, which unfortuntely has led to surface rust spots on frame, tank and front fender. Motor is in good condition with only 22000km on the meter..

Thanks, I contacted that firm last week. It turned out that they did not have any of the parts in stock after all....

I think your best bet is going to be eBay. If you get a list of the part numbers you need, eBay will search constantly and ping you when one pops up. I've been successful finding many OEM parts that way. There is also this outfit
KZ1000P.com
but I've never dealt with them. Good luck!
