That is one nice example.
I remember going into the Kawasaki dealer with my friend in San Diego to buy his 1975 Z1900 in that color. I had my Green 74 and I remember the sound and exhaust smell to this day when he picked it up. We were both in the Navy aboard the Cleveland based out of San Diego and both from Minnesota. Our Time was up and we needed to get the bikes back to Minnesota. We left early October 1976 and rode across Arizona, New Mexico and across the Texas panhandle then up 35W to avoid possible snow in Colorado. We made that trip in 36 hours with an average 90 MPH stopping a lot to rinse our wind ravaged eyes out. Back then it was 3/4 helmets with glasses and no fairings. My friend fell asleep at 2am in Iowa and was startled back to his senses by the rumble strips. We pulled into Minneapolis about 6am very tired but alive. 23 years old and not as smart as I am now.

It's absolutely wild the prices being asked and paid for these bikes.
I don't understand it.

It appears that with conventional investments performing badly in recent years, those with surplus income are pumping money into classic vehicles (cars and bikes) as a result prices have gone through the roof. It's sad that this is pushing these vehicles beyond the scope of genuine enthusiasts. Vehicles such as "big Z's" which are highly desired are particularly impacted by those treating them (and parts) as commodities. It's absolutely wild the prices being asked and paid for these bikes.

That 'add to cart' button is just disturbing for some reason.

Yes the prices have gone crazy. So maybe a few of mine will be sold which was always the plan for retirement. I am working on a frankin bike with a 80 KZ frame to use up some parts. Lucky the prices seem to be a bit better for the KZ models but I would think they will start to rise also.

It was the price that caught my eye. The bike is really nice from what I could see...all original if you're into that aspect of vintage bikes.

WoW! Does anyone in here personally know who the people are that inspected this bike? That is a clean bike...99% original parts still in place? Original paint. That's saying a lot. And the price kinda says a lot too.
Nice bike.
Nice bike.
