Before these get shoved back in their respective Tupperware containers, time capsule, any interest? I'm aware of the pecking order here so i'd asked Ness (Ed) first as to not step on his toes since he's been servicing the same stuff for years. And to not "steal" away his ability to peddle his stuff first. Soo, with his blessing i believe. Any interest in these 28mm VM pumper 79 and 80 banks? I've been pulling out/putting back in the containers for years to get to what i'm actually looking for! The sets are correct castings sets for the 1980 E2 and LTD and one for the 1979 MK2. All plating done along with New Mikuni jetting out of the bag for pilot and main according to original intent and application. New accel pump rubber on all too. I don't really work on a lot of the "later" Z's so these might sit for another??? Inquire if interested.

And believe me Wheelhop, I wouldn't of impeded on Ed's domain if he had similiar! Ronnie, same goes for You. Could i of sold You the set i'd had, of course. But i preserved the "chain-of command" regarding the 1978 set You'd had him do. You're giddy, Ed did his pete-repeat procedure and is More than Happy to provide the service and i don't feel like a creep stealing. work from a fellow.

Clay and I talked already, and I encouraged him to post here. From the looks of the photos, those carbs are real beauties! It should be a walk in the park finishing them off, assuming all the parts are available, or at least easily obtainable.

Ed..Thank-You for the Kudos. Did You get Your table set-up, pile of millings on the floor yet? Don't wear flip-flops and get a shard of cuttings lodged between the bottom of Your foot and the flopper, that takes weeks to dig out, not to mention the infection, ha.

Ha ha, Clay. And speaking of metal shards...when prepping parts for plating, I use a series of stainless steel dremel type wire wheels to polish the metal. As these wheels age, the metal strands break off and fly around with a fair bit of force, embedding in whatever they hit, which is often my clothes. And strands on the floor, get walked on, and embed into the soles of my shoes...sometimes poking all the way through. Ouch!Ed..Thank-You for the Kudos. I was a joking but YOU know where i was a going!! The worst ones are those small Dremel wire wheels, those super small fine wire bits spit out and get lodged super easy even as fleet-a-foot as i am. Now let it be known i can still touch my toes at 60yrs old but when it comes to digging out a "speck", not so fancy as i used to be!

Clay,
please send me an email using address given in my first post. May be better to exchange phone #'s in email also.
I have a 28MM pumper on my 76 KZ900 but would like to have another for future projects.
Also I have two "cores" for early 1973-74 Z1 (28 mikuni's) that are missing the float bowls and possibly other components.
looking forward to hearing from you,
Jim "wheelhop"
