Tool Laugh for the day! was created by z1kzonly
I had camera out taking pictures. I just sold 5 factory tools from a tool kit.
But, I can truthfully say, that I did this to these tools in the late 1980's!!
And I have always used them on the Kaws! That is a tool kit JIS bit, brazed on to a handle. I use this for carburetor clamps always!
Then I put this handle in to a plug socket, brazed up a T handle, stuffed with body filler.
I used these 2  for over 40 years!

Marty in Buffalo.

Livin in "CheektaVegas, NY
Went thru 25 of these in 40 yrs.
I SOLD OUT! THE KAW BARN IS EMPTY.
More room for The Old Girl, Harley 75 FLH Electra Glide,
Old faithful! Points ign. Bendix Orig. carb.
Starts everytime!

I am 100% behind anything that "get's the job done" easier, faster and correctly (don't know if you saw my "wheel install kit" in my build thread)

Those tools were probably made soon after thinking "they should make a tool for this" !

Ha ha.  This reminds me of the first time doing the forks... after reading about all of the problems of getting them apart. So I rigged up a setup on the back yard deck with various wood blocks to support the fork level. carved a rake handle end into the shape of a cone using a miter saw & jammed that into the fork. used a 6' or 7' long carpenters pipe clamp to jam & hold the rake handle in place. put a big pipe wrench on the fork and another pipe wrench on the rake handle. then stomped on the end of the 2nd pipe wrench to break the forks apart.  after disassembly, saw straight away that the head of the inner cylinder looks just like a 12-pt socket and could have used a long bolt or something. doh.

I've made a few tools for the bikes over the past few years. From steering stem sockets, clutch holder tools to fork piston tools. I even made cylinder head stands from worn out MGB front lower control arms and converted a Briggs and Stratton valve spring tool to work on the 74' Honda CB 550 head.
