Alternator Rotor Holder was created by Hardgun
Had a hard time getting the bolt off the end of my crank. I've done it once before with an impact and a rubber strap wrench to rebuild my starter clutch, but I didn't feel like messing with that this time so I made a oem style rotor holder. Worked like a dream and made removal super easy. If you've got access to a welder and some simple metal working tools I'd recommend it.

Nice fab! Hopefully I don't need one but I'm working on my charging system and if needed that's to your idea I can make my own.

Thanks!
Id recommend it for ease alone. Way easier that having someone hold the brake or any of that stuff. Takes maybe an hour to make out of a couple bolts and nuts welded to some 3/8 plate steel (that's what I used anyways). Took me about 10 seconds to take that bolt off with the tool. I can provide measurements if needed.

awesome, when ever you get to it that would be cool. I'll save them for the just in case. Rather have them and be ready to fab than to have to research and then fab. Much appreciated . But when ever you get to it.

As requested:

I ground the threads off of the end of the bolts so I didn't damage the rotor. I used 3/8 plate steel and 3/8-16 nuts and bolts. Id also extend the width of it by .125"-.25", it was just enough to get around my rotor, but the bottom nut hangs off the arm by about that much. Excuse the sloppy welds and sorry if the pictures are poor. Rear camera on my phone decided to bite it today.

I really appreciate your time taking measurements and also the details. I’ll save this and have it done when Able

The actual correct-size alternator removal bolt is only $10 Canadian on eBay.
