Another kwak tool! was created by Sheath
Hey everyone! I've just been going through some of the tools I have in storage and I think I found another kawasaki factory tool that I didn't realise was one!!
Stamped on it is 57-001043

The number looks like 57001-243. #26 in the diagram below. Valve compressor adapter.
I think the part number wouldn't include the rest of the tool that looks like a C-clamp.
Part #2 sure adds some confusion. to me anyway.

That diagram is Special Tools B. There's also a Special Tools A diagram. In case you have other items that you need to identify. My 81 650-CSR doesn't have those diagrams. I've only seen them with the earlier KZ650s & Big Kaws.

I have a Special Tool Manual from July 15th 1974, it lists the Z1/Z2 valve spring compressor assembly as 57001-107 (doesn't break it down into 3 parts). The compressor assembly for the KZ400 is 57001-241, but it shows the adapter (57001-242) and the C clamp (57001-244) as separate items. Pretty cool manual with an applicability table in the front, then a section of special tool lists by model, how to use the special tools and an index. If it would be useful to members of the forum I would be willing to send it to someone to scan and add to the database. (I would like to have it back)

I would be interested.

I have several restored bikes along with a 2006 Goldwing with a sidecar. My wife has a 2019 Suzuki DR 650 for on and off road.

The electro tester is cool, but THREE piston ring compressor sets? A search won't even turn up one.
