Harbor freight glass beading cabinet was created by wireman
Finally broke down tonight and bought a new glass beading cabinet to replace my old home made dinosaur that served me well for close to 20 years .
I bought the biggest version that harbor freight had on display,40lb capacity with stand underneath and side opening door so you can do bigger parts if youre creative.
Normally Id say harbor freight is a fitting name since most of their stuff is dredged from wrecked ships on the bottem of harbor and run like hell! :woohoo: But I figured for $200.00 what the hell?
Anyway after close to 3 hrs and what seemed like 300 freaking 4mm screws and nuts I got most of it together before I couldn't take anymore and gave up,Ill try and finish it up this weekend and try it out to see works and report back.

My buddy has one in his shop, and I used it several times. It works fine at a fraction of an expensive one. He has hooked up a Non HF Shop Vac to keep the dust etc from blocking the view inside. All the big units I've ever used have a Vacuum setup.
You'll love it once you get it all going. But the plexiglass window is going to be hard to see through after awhile. This seems to leak on my buddies, making it hard to see in.

I got the small version. Bumped the left side out with some masonite and construction adhesive (I'm a carpenter). Made a cyclone separator in a five gallon bucket with a couple round auto air cleaners up on the lid. Hooked up a shop vac and blew what was left out the window with a dryer hose.

Works okay, but having a hell of a time getting the lighting worked out so I can see through the plexiglass.

I'm interested in the review too. We had a large industrial one at the diesel shop I worked at, man I miss that thing. Especially on this last build with all the paint and rust.

I stopped out there today between estimates, but didn't have time to mess with it.
Heres what I got done last night before I went cross eyed from looking at it,Ill try and finish it this week end.
This is the first factory made blasting cabinet ,I will build the next new improved bigger version at some point based off of what I like/dislike on this one once I get to use it for a while.
Since Ive got a sheet metal brake and a couple different welders it shouldn't be too hard.
