What's this called? was created by SPARKY47
Hi Guys.I'm trying to get a magnet off the end of a 550 crank and need to order one of the items in the photo below.Does anyone know what the correct name for one of these is please? And if possible the correct size to order.(the one pictured is too large).
Many thanks in advance. The part on the right screws into the one on the left.

Looks like some sort of puller.
To remove the flywheel, you may need a flywheel puller.
On the 650, you can remove the center nut, then use the rear axle threaded into the flywheel snug, then tap tap tap on the end of the axle and the flwheel should come off.

It's called a flywheel puller. Here's an example although not necessarily the size you need:

As was suggested there is usally a bolt on the bike you can pull the flywheel with. Most are the rear axle. Just use something to hold your rear wheel while you do this.

Some bikes use the large triple tree bolt.

This will save you s lot of money. Roy
