Got tired of fighting with the tank while sanding or stripping it so, my boss contributed some donors from the scrap bin and some of my time ( he doesn't know this though ! )and I whipped up this little creation the other nigh at work... grader blade for the base and scraps for the rest. Made it so it articulates or tilts anyway to work on the sides, just need to adhere the frame rubber to the L shaped piece on the rear where the tab goes in and make up wing nuts to make the tilting go quicker...kzk

Nice! I do like it. Did your boss also contribute the tree for the stand base? ;)

Thanks for the compliments, I thought it turned out pretty good considering I only had about an hours work into it and as far as stealing the plans, well thats why I put it out there in case any one else wanted to whip one up. so steal away..and tonight I might have time to make one for fenders! Can't wait till I get my new Miller 211!:woohoo: That way I don't have to sneak around at work any more;)

Yeah my wife suggested selling them too but the chunk of grader blade I used for the base wieghs about 40 lbs! ( planned it that way , you know, stability) so I'm thinkin shipping might be a little high! Would be nice to see what other specialized tools or tricks that some of the other users have come up with. I love working on these bikes but it's even nicer when you have the right tools and you can be comfortable doing it...now if I just had a computer in the shop..hmmm...;) kzk
