cordless impact wrenches? was created by hardr0ck68
While I am in a bit of a shopping spree I am looking at cordless impact wrenches. I am thinking about buying two for different jobs.
I would like one 18vt + impact to do the job of a breaker bar. I like the dewalt 18v wrench but for around $300 with battery and charger I want to be sure. Any opinions? Do any of you guys have a similar wrench? Does it do the job?
I also would like a smaller ~10vt wrench, something like a cordless screwdriver with some nuts. I used my mechanic friends small cordless impact to remove my valve cover last time I checked my valves.... it only took 5 minutes as compared to the half hour plus to remove all those bolts by hand. On this guy I want it to be cheap and durable first and torque is secondary (that's why I want the big guy!)
If either wrench has a battery that will work with a drop lamp, that is a bonus.
Any input would be appreciated! Thanks

DeWalt makes good tools. A buddy has a cordless impact wrench (DeWalt) he bought a while back and it works good. I've used corded models and never had a problem. Go for it man!

I have had a DeWalt 18v impact for a few years and it gets used alot. It is good for most stuff but it does have limits. It is not like an air impact by no means but will still get quite abit done. I would be lost without it. Sometimes you can find a combo pack that has a few different tools for the same price as buying one tool seperate.
