Side to side crankshaft play. Is this normal? was created by NoahTaylor98
Previously I posted about having a crankshaft that felt tight in spots on my 78 kz400b. Well, that was a crank out of a parts engine. I put the original crank back in and now it feels smooth turning it however there is side to side play. I'll upload a video of the play. It's only side to side. No play everywhere else. Is this okay or is it an issue that needs addressing? Here is a video of the issue.

The acceptable "end float" specification will be in the FSM

This manual only goes through 1977, but I bet the tolerance is the same for every year of the 400 twin.
See pages 118 and 119.
