Anyone know the thread direction on these bolts? I've removed it before, and I'm fairly sure I had to turn it right (clockwise) to loosen. I couldn't be certain, so I looked it up again, and found a post here where someone said they had 2 KZ440s and it was a normal thread on both, i.e. left (counterclockwise) to loosen. To complicate matters, the bolt has a big letter "L" on it, which presumably means left-hand thread? Before I chew up the end of this bolt any further, it would be nice to have confirmation.
Thanks
Thanks

The big letter "L" on the bolt is the number "7", the grade of the bolt strength. It is a normal RH thread, (counterclockwise to loosen)
Only the bolt of alternator rotor is LH thread, (clockwise to loosen).

Oh OK, that's great. I'll probably have to hand-file it down to 12mm or stick a bit of beer can or something in a 13mm socket to get it out though.
