Kerker Quiet Baffle was created by racerx311
I recently bought a 1977 KZ1000A1 w/Kerker exhaust system. It has the Kerker Quiet baffle.. My Question: Is this a 2 piece baffle? Can the Quiet system be removed from main 1.5" Kerker baffle??

So far as I know, Kerker never made two-piece baffles. You have a choice between one of the three baffles offered, or a straight pipe.

Back in the day, the first thing we did to a Kerker was remove the fiberglass from around the baffle. Otherwise you'll have to change to one of the other baffles as TexasKZ stated. My choice was the race baffle, I think it was 2 1/2"

You can take the fiberglass packing off from the baffle. I’ve also cut down the baffle itself a couple inches. You also can get a competition baffle or run without one.

The whole subject is quite baffling, you could say that I'm completely baffled. Though I have heard that the path of least resistance is the easiest one to follow.....
