hope someone can help me to identify my engine
or put me in the right direction
searched on the forum as well on google  , couldn't find anything

It looks to me like you are missing some characters (see below example) ? Check the model recognition" documents in workshop manuals under "Articles"

If you are asking about a 1981 or 1982 KZ1000J, the engine number should start with KZT00JE………..

I have not see an engine # like the one you posted ZT1035001799 ?  Can you post a pic of the engine number?  Not saying you have not but make sure you clean up; the location of the number.  
As I understand it (not claiming I know all)  the 1000, 1100 and 1300 engine numbers begin with KZT, then 2 numbers then 2 letters then the engine num.  The two numbers that follow KZT, as I understand it, indicate cc size (00 = 1000. 10 = 1100, 30 = 1300 . Again as I understand it the 900s begin with Z1E and then numbers.

Allright , i think i got it figured out , lol
engine # KZT10BE001799 and if i'm right its from a 1981 KZ 1100 B1
the person that put this engine in must have replaced the injection system.
at least if i need parts for the engine i know what year etc
