1978 KZ750 B Question was created by DanMadBoy
Hello everyone. I hope you are enjoying the holidays.

For Christmas my uncle, who has about 21 bikes, gave me a green 1978 KZ750 Twin. Its in good shape but sat for about 3 years.  He cant find the manual and suggested I join this site which he said he joined about 10 years ago, but hasnt been on in about 8 years. His name is Ted Madson.

So we noticed that the carb boots dried out and Im looking on ebay for some. Is there a gasket that goes between the Intake Manifold and the carb boot, or does it just screw on with the two screws? I looked up schematic diagrams online and none of them show a gasket. When I looked at carb boots on ebay they seem to show there may have been a gasket in place. You can see a ebay photo below. Doesnt anyone know if a gasket goes between the boot and the engine?

Thanks a bunch!

Danny

The boot has a raised lip that mounts against the head, to affect a leakproof seal.
