spark advance mech

I'm going to try this again. How can I get he spark advance mech off my 81 kz650h?

I'm thinking it's been at least three or four years since we started requiring new members to abide their first two posts being delayed until one of the mods reads it and decides you're not a spammer or a BOT. I just approved your first post.

When in doubt, check the factory manual. 

Thanks for the info. My manual doesn't show this. The bolt and nut look like they're one piece. I'm off now to give it a go.

Some older model 650's had a lip around the base of the advancer where it bolted to the end of the crank. If there is a lot of rust its going to want to stick to the end of the crank even with the bolt removed. Spray with WD40 and let sit then gently tap it with a rubber/plastic mallet in a few places to see if that will loosen it.

hold the BIG nut still and turn the small on or you will brake something
