Howdy, I'm in the process of reassembly and want to check if I have things situated properly. The left side bearing is flush with the cap, but it seems the right side isn't fully flush when the shaft is in as far as it wants to go. Does this look right?

I have several restored bikes along with a 2006 Goldwing with a sidecar. My wife has a 2019 Suzuki DR 650 for on and off road.

It looks to me like your primary drive chain is not lined up correctly. Do you have a piece that bolts onto your case to hold the right side bearing in place? The left side bearing may be in too far. I don't have a 750, but I have a 650 that I just installed the secondary shaft yesterday. I can take photos if you like.
Is your oil pump installed?

There is a plate for the right side, thanks for the reminder! I tapped in the left side to sit up against the cap that covers the nut at the end of the shaft, so maybe the cap doesn't sit totally down. No oil pump yet, will do soon.
Photos would be much appreciated if it isn't much trouble.

Photo looks down on the right side. It shows the stop that holds the RHS bearing from coming out. You must loosely insert this before tapping the shaft all the way in.

The right side should be flush and held in place with the stop from hardrockminer's photo. Left hand side has a spec in the manual:

Don't forget to put the circlip back on the drive end. You can see in my photo that I hadn't yet put it in place.
