1982 KZ250 CSR Belt Driven Single Manual? was created by Kungfutoast
Hi everyone,
I recently came into possession of 1982 KZ250 L CSR Belt Driven Single Cylinder motorcycle. Wow that was a mouthful. I am having a hard time tracking down a Manual. Would anyone have a PDF they could share with me?
I mostly need a photo of the wiring diagram.

The bike is having a no spark issue. I replaced the CDI and coil with new aftermarket componants. The issue is still persistent. My guess is that the timing pickup unit is malfunctioning or not connected internally? I'l like to have a reference for inspection and removal. Also the wiring diagram so I can confirm the correct circuit is assembled.

Any insight is welcome.

Thanks

Sorry, no KZ250 single manual online but the KZ440 twin manual and wiring diagram should be similar to your bike,(except the missing cyl./spark plug). Just give it a try:   kzrider.com/modules/ServiceManuals/kz440.pdf

Thanks for the link. They are asking $67 for what looks like a well used book.   I made a lowball offer. we'll see if they accept. If its your listing I hope you accept the offer. ;)

No eBay APP ID and/or Cert ID defined in Kunena configurationDid you try EB?  I'm seeing several under $40, including some for ~$30 or less.

EB search = KZ250 manual.  This one is $35T. see model application chart on back cover.

No eBay APP ID and/or Cert ID defined in Kunena configurationSomehow stumbled upon this one that's currently discounted 30%.
Cover is a little worse for wear, but $14T for an FSM is cheap.
Seller doesn't say what years are covered, so ask beforehand.
The motorcycle on the cover may be a clue. looks like an 83 W1 Ltd Belt.

Thanks for all the links. I found a copy that suited my budget. Also, I found why i was not getting a spark. The aftermarket CDI unit was wired in reverse of the OEM unit with the ground and hot wires switch both in color and location. Yikes! glad I didn't fry the unit. I wish the supplier included a wiring diagram with product schematics. Anyway, pays to use your thinker. :)

I'll post some photos eventually. The bike bogs at WOT so I either need to clean the carb or bump a jet size. We'll see.
