After 17 months of money and effort , I think the bike is trustworthy to ride. After the belt incident , I added a set of crash bars and a chrome belt cover for looks. I added a golem fuel filter ( thanks to the person who showed the idea of the stainless elbow). The 440’s are a pita to fit a filter in. I checked everything out from oil to carb sync and and fuel mixture. I have put over a hundred miles on it since then from stop and go traffic to wide open freeway and it runs dang nice. I think I finally can trust it to get me there and back again.

Great work! I traded a set of 6x9 speakers for one when I was a young guy in the Air Force - had a lot of fun on that 440!

Pretty sure it was 650Ed that gave us the SS elbows. I had a hard time sourcing them. If anyone else is interested
