Ya know, one of us are going to have to invest in a helmet cam. We do have some awesome scenery around here, but it's kind of hard to operate a camera and negotiate the twisties at the same time.
When the ride started yesterday, I was riding point admiring the morning. Then I looked in my mirror and discovered I was suddenly riding solo. Turned around and found Steve and a couple other riders along side the road waiting for Jeff and the rest of the riders. We waited for a few minutes, then decided to go back and see what happened to Jeff. When we got to him, he had half of his bike took apart trying to figure out why his alternator wasn't charging. Apparently it was just a loose wire. No problem, soon we were all back on the road, and Jeff never had another problem.
Silly Jeff. Doesn't he know that the only reason his KZ broke down was because he brought his tools with him? Wouldn't have happened if he didn't have any tools with him.
Anyway, I don't have any pics from the ride, but I've been trying to send Saxjonz a couple pics that I thought he might like via cell phone, but that ain't working out, so I'll just post them here. One "bike related", one not.
First one is of some replicas of the Nina and Pinta that came to visit Grafton last week. I looked at those ships and realized those dudes must have had some serious cajones to cross the ocean in these things.

This would be the bike related one. I never saw the dude riding it, but I would've liked to have seen it.
That looks like the bike on the Cheech and Chong movie where he would be parked in the living room and dust the neighbors rose bushes with that long exhaust going out the window.
Nice group of Kaws. Is that Natchez Mississippi in the background or do all bridges crossing the Mighty Mississippi look the same?

And you flipped it around or something. Hmmmmm.... Patton is this your bike? Are you secretly riding a hog and that is why you photoshopped Dave's head on to your body? You that ashamed that you ride an ape hanger gallore that you have to put the pic up and mirror image at that?

Wondered when the flip would be challenged.
Will have to do better. Stay tuned.
Here's the original. (And I can't make out the sign either).
Good Luck!

@ dblhdr, I see in the images some of these KZ's have oil coolers....
Any info on the coolers themselves such as # of rows, manufacturer, model #, temp tests you guys may have accomplished pre & post measurement recordings of the oil temps etc....
Thanks,
OMR
