Parts you once owned and never though you would see again was created by Injected
Happened upon some carbs I once owned that I sold to a member one here in 2009 (timebomb33) They look exactly like the day they left except they got pretty rusty
I know there mine because of the brass rails I made for them, and the choke rod I bent on the end then slipped some vent tube over it. I can even see the numbers I scribed by hand on the bodies!
Here is what they looked like 15 years ago :
I sent Timbomb33 all the stuff in that last picture. I sold them because I had already built my own fuel injector throttle bodies to go on that head. I needed cash to buy other fuel injection parts. These carbs were on my 831cc drag bike with the intakes relocated to the valve centers, so the spacing was not regular spacing. Stock 650/1000 carb spacing is 77-93-77mm, those are 83-122-83mm
Wow, never thought I would ever see those again. Wonder why he never used them?

Was the guy you sold to in Japan or have they just ended up there (maybe still attached to the bike when they travelled ?)

That's hilarious! As a youngster we would trade out old Puch/Bultaco/Maico etc bikes amongst us. Once they wrecked or blew them up i'd get them back for maybe a 24flat of Coors beer because we were too youthful to purchase but i knew "a guy" that worked at the local distribution facility. Flats that got "damaged", ha. Would of maintained a better appearance if You hadn't used those generic "black oxide" allen head screws, he.

A couple of times, selling carbs on eBay, an international buyer bought & paid, and off the carbs went to eBay's freight forwarder for shipment to the customer. Shortly thereafter, I received a message saying the item can't be delivered. I presume this relates to customs or maybe hazardous material restrictions in the receiving country, that the eBay Global Shipping Program didn't account for. They said I get to keep the money, and the buyer will be refunded. And so it was. The odd thing is that the carbs showed up on eBay shortly thereafter, for sale again. Different seller, obviously. They recycled my photos and description, selling at a higher price than I originally posted. I complained about them using my information, but never got a response.

I was kind of shocked to see them for sale from a Japanese vendor, even sad to see he never did anything to them. Looks like they have never been back on a KZ as the spacing like I explained is not "normal" so could not be installed without a bunch of work which he said he would handle.
I hope he just turned around and sold them on and nothing else happened to the guy. I noticed he has not posted in a while.

No a member on here bought them, his handle is "timebomb33" (you can search his posts) he lives out in Saskatchewan Canada, I am in Ontario Canada. We have never met in person but he was down in my area several times to drag race at my local track. I don't think he has posted on here in a long time. We emailed back and forth to set the sale terms. Was the guy you sold to in Japan or have they just ended up there (maybe still attached to the bike when they travelled ?)

I went back thru my emails (yes I have emails from 2009) I sold them for $300 Canadian.
In the pictures I had they looked a bit odd, seems they were on my buddies 1015 engine so they are spaced to fit a standard Z1 head. You can see he cut the brass rail to squeeze them together. That pic also shows the original welded steel rails to fit my drag head, don't know why I sent those.
My buddy wanted to know if they ran any better than the RS34's he had on his engine. I had forgotten he borrowed them before I sold them.
So now I feel a bit better knowing he probably ran them on a engine for a bit.
