Driving through MSU campus I noticed a weird shape - then it rode past and I had to follow him. Can't say for sure if it's a Z1 or an early 1000 (not my area of expertise) but it was really a treat to see something like this in person - perks of having so many international students in the area, I suppose.

Probably not to the taste of most members here but I've always had a fascination with this sort of thing. It sounded great, looks like a Delkevic pipe, but the idle was really high - wish I could have talked to the guy, maybe he'd have let me work on it

The bosozoku style is definitely very unique and cool.

Looks like a Specter sticker on the back.

First thought was it's Kawasaki Zephyr 550 (pre 1993 model). But since Bosozoku is a Japanese invention, I  guessed it may be the Kawasaki Zephyr 400. This also explains high idle, 1200-1300rpm  is a book specs for Zephyr 550. Looks like my guess was right.

How about that! Thanks for the clarification, it just looked "older" to me.

You got to be kidding me, right. Seen enough of those funny Japanese trend coming here. Not sure about you guy in 48 states, but right here where I live, the funny Japanese auto trend from 80's are coming back. That Boso-Zoku style are from 80's as well and continue to this day. Missing are: Long azz exhaust pipe that looks like small chimney, front cowl that looking upwards, Godfather air horn, yada yada yada..........................

I'm planning to go to Japan as soon as this COVID thing relaxes. Anybody want that seat or the cowl? Mind you, they're expensive.................

82' KZ750-R1 cafe racer style. Clip-on, Rear set, Fork-Brace, Mikuni Flat-slide (forgot the size), Kerker.
84' GPz750 (basket case). everything are in pieces.
89' ZX750-H1 (ZX-7 Ninja). Resurrection project are on going with my KZ750. Everything is stock.
