1984 KZ700 Information was created by dpivas7
There is a KZ700 for sale that I want to look into since my KZ750 LTD blew up. The bike runs and rides, but it needs work. My KZ750 was nearing completion when the engine went, so I'm wondering if there is any compatibility with the KZ700 so I could essentially use my bike as a parts bike.

I know the 700 was only made for one year, does anyone have any more information?

Thanks.

The KZ700 is a standard model, so the body parts are going to be different. The 700 has different meters & the ignition system is different; it uses an ignition rotor instead of a mechanical timing advancer & the ignition advance curve will be a little different because of the smaller engine size (694 cc vs 738 cc for the 750). The charging system is the same. The wheels & brakes are probably swappable.
