On my bucket list. If anyone is planning to go to the 2018 race, it maybe too late already. Have to book for accommodations and the ferry way in advance.

Try to Marshal for a day or two while you are at the TT. It takes 630 Marshals to run any sort of event on the mountain course.
My wife and I marshalled when we were at the TT in 2014. Visit the iomtt.com site and link to the Marshals association for the details. If, in 200 years, someone looks up the Marshals that worked the TT in 2014 Cynthia and Jon Cain from Fort Thomas KY will be in the record. I have a tear off from Guy Martin as a souvenir.

I am going to guess it is volunteer work. But do they supply you with room and board and transportation to and from the island?
