Sorry for the belated replies...I didn't realize this thread was going on! Thanks for all of the compliments and thanks to Dave for the selection!

Bozo wrote: Bloody nice, just a quick question how does the extra long swingarm and chain effect the bikes ride??

Shame I am on a budget I'd love a paint job like that on my Frankenbike (GPZ1100 81 with lots mods)

The long swingarm is great for launching and the ride is really good. It used to be a real challenge to launch without a big wheelie and the longer arm has helped that tremendously. Taking turns, on the other hand, can be a bit challenging. It definitely doesn't handle like a superbike in the twisties, but over all street riding or drag racing it's great.

I dont love the airbrush, but Led Zeppelin IV is the story of the music! Respect.

P.s. The engine in this configuration, is good for (relaxed) use on the street? Whit passenger, for example...

Yeah, rides great. I've been on pretty long trips with this engine. and it's pretty much like stock until you twist the throttle. I worry a little in traffic on hot days but the oil cooler seems to help a lot. I've got my eye on a nicer pair of shocks, btw. ;)

Bozo wrote: Z1R wheel widened to 3"?? how is that acheived.....................................sorry I'm drooling while looking at the pics

It's widened to 3.5" by Kosman Specialties. It's a process that they have been doing for many years. Although I think they're subbing it out now for some reason.

Your KZ shows the design, time and effort it takes to build top notch.
My only question is: How much space next to your bed's nightstand does it take up? :P

Reminds of Of poor Ol' Jack (RIP) from Canada who built the beautiful Z1R blue drag bike.
Very nice and detailed.
Your back wheel? Is that a double weld? I had a stock enki & DID double weld built by the infamous "Puppet" years ago. Sorry that I sold it at an IDBA race, during the divorce stage.
But one bad ass machine! I bet that gets respect where ever it goes with ALL the biker crowds!

The back wheel was widened in Germany using a process about the same as Kosman does here in the states. I ordered it with the swingarm from Klasmo....that place was awesome before it closed up! I had the front done at Kosman.

I really do love the way you had the wheels reworked and the chrome finish really pops.
I have kicked around plating my wheels . I also thought about plating them and then blacking out the wheels like the factory did , and still having the exposed area chrome vs aluminum. Time and money will tell

Funny you mentioned that Dave. I've been thinking that maybe I should have gone with black powder coat and polished edges...I really like how that looks. The chrome just doesn't last real long, especially on the wheels. There are a couple of spots where I can see it's going to bubble sometime soon. I never thought of chroming and then blacking out...that would look really cool!
