Thanks Bad Kaw.
I love it too.
Had a hard time deciding if I should sell her for an '83 KZ1000R that I relly don't know much about. My buddy bought it this past year and it sits.
I've had the 650 since high school, over 25 years ago, so I've kinda grown attached to her. Keep making slight changes over the years.
Maybe I'll just try to buy the '83 and keep my 650.
I was a bit worried about switching to the 18" front wheel.
I've read of wobbling problems with the '78 Z1R using the 18" front wheel.
After a few seasons, and many times reaching 160 kph/100 mph, I've not experienced any problems.

First off: there is no such thing as "too many bikes". Therefore, keep the 650 and get the 1100. Solved.
Next: You know I'm a big fan of your 650...cool ride. The 18" mod is cool.
Last: I've had a few Z1Rs (all '78s) and one handled great, never had a problem, ever. The other one (last three numbers on the frame were '666' ...I lie NOT!) was a wobbler. It never inspired confidence, wobbled in corners, and once serious speed was achieved it would wobble with the most minor inputs. I worked with EVERYTHING on that thing: steering head bearings, tires, tire-pressure, ...nothing worked...evil bike.

Did ride my 18" front wheel equipped KZ last season, but 2018 saw me park her as I got a newer ride.
2017:
Newer ride beginning of 2017, with 17" wheels:
