I might be trading the KZ900 sunday. was created by ran429
A local Biker doesnt want to work on his old Sprotster anymore so I might trade him my 76 KZ900 for his 1963 Harley Davidson Sportster.

I will end up working awhile on it to make it road worthy again as the gearbox has a hole in it. But I want one really bad and if it has to be a basket then so be it.

I will still have my Baby, 1981 KZ750E2 for reliability, But this will be a fun project for me and will be a test on my memory from doing the K-Model many years ago that inspired the Mossbeater Paint job.

Installing or repairing the gearbox shouldnt be much of a pain unless its like the K where I would have to break the cases.

I cant wait to have an Outlaw Harley again, this time NO FRIGGIN CHROME!!!!

I am already Shunned by the world................

I am KEEPING my KZ750E until I die or something boys.

Wireman, I do believe you are correct, except its still inside the main engine unlike most of the larger Hardlys, I think I have to go in through an inspection/access plate though behind the cover, only on the K-models do you have to break the cases to get to the trannys i was told..we'll find out soon enough.

And Guys, its a "1963" Harley, thats way back before AMF frikked the whole Harley bike scene up and Hardly actually made a reputable cruiser back then.
Like I said, I dont want it for reliability, I just want it to have it. I will keep the 750E.

Besides, the 1%ers i know will be jealous I got a Harley in trade for a $50.00 bike.

The 1963 Harley could be worth a bundle if the bike could be repaired and running...worth much more than the KZ900...I have a confession, I also lust after an HD, a 1977/78 XLCR:blush:

I actually wouldn't mind getting a Honda VTX as long as you guy are on the topic of lust, or I rather trade my SR for Ben's(mountain) 650 just for 4 weeks, a month. Ok guys shun me if you must but I will always be here! I still got love for the Kz!
