Basket case rides again.

I spent a whopping $100 on this 9,000 miles 1983 750 L3. It was missing a bunch of bits. Put a battery in it and all electrical seemed working but the starter button. I fixed One broken wire and it went pop pop pop. I got it running but not idling. 
Some research and math found I could make a cafe I’d seen in my head. 
I hope the purists will take it ez on me, but I’m really happy how it turned out.

How open are you to constructive feedback that might just keep you out of the "emergency room" ?
