yes, a lot of stuff like the frame, swingarm, battery box, brake caliper etc will be going back to black.
I have ordered the Jaffa paint set from Japan (got an email yesterday thats it been shipped) 
The plan will be a 'modified' Jaffa bike.

I have had a couple of days off from the bike due to laser eye surgery, but back to it by making a temporary engine stand out of wood.
Its actually surprising how heavy a partially stripped engine can be, so I had to completely box it at the base.
It now spins around so I can get to the sump etc.  The main reason is to paint the engine black again - after I went to the trouble years ago of stripping it all !

When I do a Z1/KZ engine I strip it down to the cases.  At that point I'm able to wrestle it in and out of the frame by hand.  I've never painted one, but I have only Z1B's and KZ1000's that weren't painted originally.  

I have several restored bikes along with a 2006 Goldwing with a sidecar. My wife has a 2019 Suzuki DR 650 for on and off road.

Its time to get some more engine stuff done - after pulling off random parts including getting the transmission cover off to get the dynamo wiring loom out and snapping the neutral switch in half, the barrel and pistons are out.

For those that are interested in engine stuff, the overview of the motor is,
Welded crank, APE cam chain.
MTC sleeves,  MTC forged alloy hi comp pistons. 
Head is ported, fitted with oversize Ferrea stainless steel valves 37mm/31 mm.  
APE valve springs, APE titanium retainers.
.430 cams on slotted sprockets.  Also have another set of .410 cams
38mm flat slide Mikuni carbs
Dyna ignition, Dyna coils, Dyna adjustable rev limiter.
4 into 1 Formula1 exhaust.

the Jaffa paint set from Webike in Japan has arrived ahead of schedule. 
Its the M-TEC "Fireball" set that includes the tank, sidecovers and tail in original Jaffa / Candy brown paint scheme.
I gotta say I'm actually impressed, the paint and clear coat is very nice, the candy brown metallic really pops in the sun !
The frame is still waiting to go to the powdercoater but I couldnt resist a quick photo opp.
