Exhaust wrap

Wrapping Vance in Hines 4 into 1 exhaust with heat wrap tape. Anyone have a idea how long of till I would need.

A good starting point would be to measure each length you are going to wrap. Multiply the diameter of the down pipes, and multiply by Pi (3.141") = circumference. Subtract the amount of overlap you plan from the width of the wrap, and divide the total length of all wrapped pipes by the length of your adjusted width - this will give you the number of wraps you will need. Multiply the number of wraps by the circumference. That will give you a bare minimum, I would add 10-20% for safety (odd lengths, cut errors, etc.)

Styling exercise. Nothing more.

Besides controlling heat the wrap can reduce sound and give new life to an otherwise cosmetically ruined exhaust.

A couple notes, soak the wrap in hot water while you are installing it. Wrap from the back to front so you dont catch debris in the pleats. I think 50 feet will be enought. It took about 20 feet feet to wrap my 2 stroke expansion chamber. You can buy it on Amazon pretty cheap.

If you've worked with fiberglass before, you'll understand the need to wear long sleeves and gloves.
Even when wet, those tiny needle-like fibers from the wrap get everywhere.
