Z/KZ 1000 mk 3

picked up a bikini fairing for £20 on fleabay with a top quality paint job!! i didnt like the top of the headlight and the backs of the clocks showing so im currently fabbing a dash to cover them up

its been a while since the the last update i got a little distracted!! been ongoing for the last 12 years or so!!.

side panels ended up being Z1R as i ended up buying one by mistake thinking they were the same as ST 1000s! luckily they fit better as they are taller overall. had to get creative with the fixxings after loosing panels of my other Zeds some better bolts are on order, a bit of tube with a 6mm nut welded in the end and the lower pins of the panels to hopefully keep them in place

light/kill switch and throttle assy changed over to ZX6R as the other ones had no light on/off on them. throttle is better aswell, as i had to make the inner for the other this one i can you the kawa cable without modding it. the inner was about 40mm too long so spaced the cable end holder at the carb end

dry build is done . need to work out paint scheme next but will get it insured and get an MOT on it and useit for a while in its shoddy condition to make sure there are no issues that need to be sorted out

It is nice to see some progress. Getting it back on the street will be huge. I look forward to seeing it prettied up.
