I have just acquired a 73 Z1 that has sat in a garage since 1980. It ran when it was parked. It is 98% complete. Very excited to "bring it back to life!"

Correct tach & speedo for the build date. Fairly rare ribless carbs! Correct rear brake lever & backing plate.

This bike is a pretty good reference the way it sits. Nice find!

Looks really good! Those look like original tires although the rear is well worn.
I have several restored bikes along with a 2006 Goldwing with a sidecar. My wife has a 2019 Suzuki DR 650 for on and off road.

I'm not sure that I'd restore that just yet, you might be surprised at how well it'd clean up and just how well it'd be accepted by the big end collectors. You have to bodywork?

I do have all the bodywork. The tank was really faded due to the sun coming thru a side window in the garage. I have a great painter working on them right now.
