alot of the sportbike 600 arms are narrower at the pivot, which makes it easier to narrow em up to fit in these old kz frames.
the arms off from most of the 1000 cc sportbike arms are too wide to effectively get em narrowed up enough.
the katana arms are an easy fit.they are steel so it makes getting some shock mounts welded on (if needed)a lil easier for most.
i just hit 600cc katana on google images and it looks like any year is the same as long as it is that silver boxed section looking arm.
maybe a lil long but could easily be shortend as it is steel and easily manipulated.

Don't take this the wrong way, but are your shocks on upside-down? I don't recall ever seeing them mounted with the reservoirs at the bottom.

yeah the way the shocks are adds to the "un-sprung"weight.
which you want "un-sprung"weight to be as low as possible to make the suspensions job as easy as possible .and therefor as good as possible.
love the seat color and the way it lifts in the front and is rolled over the edges.
but,
i wish the cover fit better around the back those lil folds would drive me nuts.it needs to be a nice smooth contour to follow your seat base and body line.you got the body (tank/tail)looking to smooth for that not to be the same.
if you can take it loose from the base around the back and partway forward and let it set in the sun you can set there and slowly stretch it around the base and eliminate those fold creases around the edge and re-attach.
that's my .02 fwiw.

That's a good pointer I was trying to get them to fold back. I put the shocks that way because those certain shocks rub a little on the side of my frame. I'm looking online for a better fit but they are like 500 bucks lol.

If someone could recommend some better shocks that the springs are a little lower, that would help out a lot. As you can see in the pic the tops touch a little

They can't be shimmed out a little? Maybe a thick washer between the mount and the shock?

yeah the bodies of piggy back shock can interfere with the frame sometimes.
like ThatGPzGuy said.
when i built my swingarm on my 80 z1r i had to push my shocks out and machined some nice thick aluminum washers to space them out.
as long as it does not change the angle enough to cause them to bind.
