SImilar to how I found my Z2 in Texas. Most of the Z2/Z750 bikes came to North America with returning servicemen...although I do know a fellow with a South African Z750 variant so that motorcycle took a different route to Texas.

I wonder how many are here? Surely the are more US spec MKII's in Japan, than there are JDM 750's here

Based on the chatter on the Z2/Z750 models on the internet, I would guess that there are no more that 3 or 4 dozen of these North American oddities that have survived...most have either been bought back by the Japanese or have been trashed/parted out (there was one in the Dakota's that was parted out on eBay about 5 years ago).

Z1R wheel looks great (better than the 19") I thought the front guard would end up looking - too big, but it looks good.
Q: does the front wheel change the handling or - its not noticeable?
P.s rest of the bike looks great as well.
First Permanent ride the Z1R since Dec1977 (220,000km) as of June 2015
Second permanent bike 1989 FJ1200 dyno'd 140RWH, great bike.
Third ride is now the Frankenstein 1981 GPZ1100B1, 1983 fully recon motor fitted LOVE THIS BIKE
Forth my work bike FJ1200 1989 (same type as FJ above)

Thanks for the compliments!
Less rim, more tire, so overall diameter isn't really that much smaller. For the way that I ride my older bikes like this one, I'd hardly be able tell much about the handling really. It steers well, and is stable, so all good for me. I just prefer the look and proportion with the 18"
