Started on the forks today........nasty! Pure black and grey goo with evil sediment sat the bottom of each leg.

Will clean the legs up and then off to the powder coaters.

I now have all of the bodywork back in my sticky paws! Couldn't help myself but had to mock it up and have a look. Even put the pursuit lights in. Awesome!!!

Package from the US arrived today as well from Jim at Redline Cycles. Highly recommend Jim, he has been a real help with all my bits n bobs and annoying questions. Just need to finish the engine now!!

This is shaping up to be the best KZP restoration/rebuild I think I've seen.

Thanks Leon, appreciate the feedback mate. I really like the original seat with the saddle type style but I am going to make a more slimline verison of it. Original seats going on a diet lol. Just started drawing on it the other day and will get the grinder out and narrow the base so I can start on the reshape.

I was stoked when I got it back from my mate that painted it. Best bit is it's a really high end paint and you can wash it like a normal paintjob without worrying about scratches like you used to get with the old style matt finishes.

Got a few small jobs done this weekend. Soooo cold at the moment that going out to the shed has very little appeal! Still waiting for the Race Tech fork springs to arrive so the fronts not sorted yet. Moved down to the back, Vortex sprocket to with a change to a 530 chain. Faffed about sorting out fitment for the new coils.

Have to fit a new headlight as the old one has a stonechip and it will drive me mad if I don't sort it out.

Even the crusty ol' Kawasaki emblem off the inside of the fairing got splash of paint!

Started on the screen today as well. The old screen was just a shit bit of perspex that someone had whacked on. I gave it a hack with the hot knife and shaped it to the way I wanted it a while back when I first got the bike. Using the ratty one as a template I got a local plastic company to cut me a new screen from black perspex. I just had to whack the mounting holes in and fit it up. Got to cold again in the shed and the fire was calling but tomorrow I will mount it properly.
