So I spent last night at work making new swingarm pivot bushings so I can use the stock pivot bolt from the kz!

nice looking top hat bushings .
are running your bearings directly on the bushings?
leon
while the stainless isn't as hard as the hardened bushing you replaced they will prolly work just fine.
what i am wondering is what you are going to do to keep the tophats from binding when you tighten the swingarm pivot bolt?
because without a bushing between them to set the preload they will bind on the ends of the pivot tube.
just a heads up.

It depends on the year on the gsxrs, the axle diameter is the same between the 600and 1000 , however the axles are different on the ends where they are held in the fork ends. I see a lot of guys with Honda cb bikes running a Harley front spoked wheel with a custom center hub made by cognito moto to fit gsxr front ends.
I wound up using some gsxr wheels because I was having too much trouble adapting the brakes to the kz wheel.
Thanks for checking out my build.

I'm running bare bones is what I like to call it,no gauges clean look.
Big issue today, I had made a plug to cap off the tack cable hole in the motor,it came out slick as can be. LITERALLY!!!
I was out for a short ride and noticed man the bike sure feels slick like I was on ice very scary as I am an inexperienced rider! I rode home treading lightly pulled in the driveway in a puddle of oil.. Somewhere along my ride I lost the plug I made, must have vibrated out idk, the bike was spraying my tire with oil she is now empty.
I'm lucky I didn't go down in the turns.
Looks like I will have to make a new plug, I'll use the same design as the first but this time I'll be using some thread locker!
What gets me is that I've been checking the plug to make sure I had a nice seal and it wasn't leaking. And now it's gone . I had made a plug to fit inside the part that pushes into the motor and used the nut from the cable to hold my plug in.

im planning on running all the gsxr components as far as calipers and rotors
also wondering how mounting the swingarm came out i had some ideas on how to run the kz pivot bolt by creating a slug and some spacers but i was a little iffy on that, not knowing the strength of the stock pivot bolt and if it would hold up
any more info on that would help
thanks again
