So close I can smell it!
All electrical works fine, aside from two bulbs that need replaced in the instrument cluster. Also can't check the speedo yet haha. Brakes are done. Just down to tuning the carbs, and finding another swingarm pivot bolt. Theres four spare ones in salvage bikes at the shop, but they had a go at it for a few hours, and finally let me have a go at them too. 6 stripped screws and a broken hammer later I gave up.

Time to dig this thread out of the archives, lol
Back from the shop, completely roadworthy! Turns out some pin in the timing advance was all messed up, causing it to be 1/2" off. Timing was fine at idle, but when the advance kicked it, well pffbbbtttbbb. They also jetted the carb correctly(I wasn't too far off, with the advance working right). She's got some balls lemmetellya.
If you look close, my speedo is bouncing all over the place upon acceleration and deceleration. Steady speeds and it reads correct. Any ideas?

I just put my phone in my shirt pocket to shoot this video, helmet cam to come soon. Doesn't seem like it's going very fast when all you see is the road and tank

Did some more upgrades to the bike while the motor was out. Cut off the old turn signal tabs, exhaust tabs, removed the rear fender and old tail light. Going to do a solo seat on it now.

Been tinkering with the bike some. Rebuilt the forks with new springs, seals, and oil. Painted the lower forks satin black. Clip on bars, stacked projector headlamp, new hydraulic masters for clutch and brake (doing a hydraulic clutch conversion). Pistons finally came, and started on the solo tail piece.

Sorry bud, I'm not sure, it was so long ago. I think they were just some ones I found on Ebay.
Did a few more touches, including motor paint.

Do you happen to still have the vetter mounting hardware? I have a couple of old fairings but looking for the brackets.

Vetter stuff is long gone, sorry.
More progress, slowly but surely.
Mostly machine work on the head and block, brake lines, and shift linkage left.
Should be ready late spring.
