It reminds me alot of this Honda I saw on Ebay a while back. I saved all the pics for some inspiration down the road. I like that "old style" sorta art deco-ish.

That seat is exactly what I'm looking for. Can I ask where you got it?
Bike looks fantastic.

Thanks. I made the seat. Took some sheet metal, cut and shaped a bit. Layered up some free carpet underlayment and shaped that. I got an ebay seat cover, nicely made btw, and covered it all. I used 3M spray glue and some shallow sheet metal screws to hold it all together. It has 3 bolts welded to the pan and gets wingnuts to hold it on from below at a couple places.
I could not afford $200 to make a seat from the upholstery shop.

This is some sexy work my friend. Love the seat you made I'm split between a wrenchmonkees/bratstyle one like that and one with a cowl for my kz650. Either way i plan on making it myself!
Did you build a whole new rearframe?

Thanks man! I appreciate that. I didnt mod the whole subframe, but I did have to cut the rear hoop where the radius starts and flip it over and reweld it. If you look at the rear hoop it sort of dips down instead of up. I didnt like that aesthetic and it didnt go with the seat pan shape either. Chop/weld/grind/done.
