sorry wireman,i have no delusions of banjer!
i could probably give a stainless steel pan hell tho :woohoo: .
tri,the other 78 z1r will be factory blue.nice score on the passes,lucky!
mark,i do not think this is a mkII.it is a z1r block and has the right vin for that.but it does not have the gusset coming down off the oil fill boss like the block on my 80 z1r does.i have not had the valve cover off yet so i do not know how many teeth the cam gears have.
porchev, hopefully dueling banjos is not a pre-requisite for entry.listening to ol' danny barnes is the closest i get to playing banjo.

i have made a little progress in the parts sourcing for the good capt.
thanks to tachrev,
i bought his used 1015 mtc pistons to help bump up the compression.i will use a 900 block and bore and hone it to match the pistons, then spin out some teflon buttons and replace the rings.
thanks to etbike3135,
i traded the old (dirty/funky) z1 carbs for some ultrasonic cleaned and rebuilt 28 mm pumper carbs with chrome caps and new billet fuel tees all set up and ready to run.
so now i have to get a little time to check the frame for square, finish out the gussets and send it to powdercoat.
the post by peter1958 about kidkawi over on the z1oc,has me thinking i might need to see about getting him to create a frame sticker for the neck before it gets burnt off in the powdercoat oven.
i also got side tracked by yet another z1r  but that is the subject of another thread.
leave it to the viking to want to hear a couple rednecks playing dueling banjos :silly: ,thanks for checking in roy.always a pleasure to have the berserker stop in  .
