Well guys i have been gone for what seems like a very long time. I have been very busy with life lately with work, school, and a few of my latest 4 wheeled go fast projects. It was killin me to see the old kaw sittin in the corner not gettin any love so ive gone full force back on it. Only updates since last time is i got the cases bored for the big block and have acquired a set of 1428cc 10.5:1 pistons. I would like to have the bottom end all together by the next few weeks but am missing a few pieces and have a few questions. I seem to have lost one of the bearings on the crank that sit in the stud on the upper cases. Is there somewhere i can buy a new one? i checked z1's site but didnt find anything. also does anyone have a list of all gaskets, seals, or anything that i need to bolt the two cases together? I dont need a list of every gasket to finish the motor just what i need to bolt the cases together. Thank you very much everyone and its great to be back

call John Pearson at Pearson Racing #937-839-9723. If you don't have that crank welded he's the guy to do it and he keeps tons of crank parts on hand so he may sell you just what you want. Or you can call Redline Cycle, he has them too.

haha yes sorry, i really was gone for far tooooo long.

andy9802, my crank is welded but the bearing i need is the one on the outside of the crank so that is not a problem. Ile give redline a call tomorrow and see what they have

The outer bearing shell on the crank?
I have some surface rusted parts, If you can't find any.
I can glass bead them. See how they look.

as i recall the only seal u need is the oring for the oil pump, it goes between the case halves, the rest of the cases get yama bond or black permatex.i use permatex.
just look in your manual, u will see a pic of the o ring im talking about.Oh there may be 1 o ring for the oil drain gallery at the back,behind the vent? it will have pics in the manual though. pm me if u need me to look it up.

Ya its great to be back, i really missed the forum. I am taking the semester off to make some more money for the next semester, and from there i have just 3 semesters left! I feel bad saying the kaw's have had to sit backseat lately to my newest car project that is just getting finished up (Partially why i may have ran out of money for school :unsure: ) But now that its done i will be selling and going full force back into the bikes.

And OMR i will work on the projects you requested

As for forced induction for under $500, i think wal-mart has hair dryers for under $50, then all you will need is a power inverter to run it, talk about some serious psi!

Got my bearing race in yesterday from z1kzonly, it looks beautiful after he cleaned it up for me and he gave me a great price!!! If anyone needs any parts i would highly reccomend contacting him first
