Love the build...I really like when parts are hand made. When you made the struts for the bike did you keep the distance the same that the springs provided? I made a set for my kz1000 out of 1/4in flat bar and dropped mine down about four inches.

I like the shape of this tank much better, just seems to go with your theme more.
What color would the tank be with the military theme? The dark green from before?

The name on this thread should be changed... Im a sellout on the Marine bobber theme but I think the change will be for the best. the paint will be flat black with a gloss black stripe down the spine of the tank, the sides are to be determined.. maybe a quick punisher skull in gloss black?(kinda cheesy for a grown man) it looks good so far but I used some crappy gloss black and it bubbled up and ran all over a perfect primer and flat paint job... oh well i missed a dent anyways- back to the blaster

Mine is still a work in progress. I haven't had it up and running yet. I just finished the new wiring harness last week. Lights, ignition, charging system. I have been on a hard tail bike before and my buddy told me to play around with the air pressure in the rear tire. He said it will be fine as long as the rear tire has the right amount of air for my weight and the bikes weight. If it is to much I will bounce around cornners.

I am making changes to it every time I get a chance. I made a licence plate and brake light bracket and mounted it to the strut. I don't think it looks bad. In any case if the ride sucks I could always put the shocks back on.

Looks nice man, I wish mine had a bigger rear tire like yours. I was thinkin about putting some small springs on it at first, like honda rebel springs or something. My battery box and seat mount is really kickin my butt, I do all fab work in my shop so if the measurments arent right on I have to wait till the next day to fix it. I have to get that done and put the crappy air pods on by the end of next week so I can ride it to storage.. Im moving into the barracks and losing my garage space so this week is crunch time to get as much as possible done, I dont want to ride the Ninja 250 again this year..

My tire is only a 130. I want to put a different swing arm on so I can put a 180 or 200 on the rear. Like you I have very limited space. I do all of my own fab work as well. I made everything from scrap metal. The pan seat is from a folding chair, the battery box is a old stick welder I had that did not work any more, the sisy bar is a old iron chair my mom was throwing away. The fender was from a old harley, I cut it down to fit. I have so many little parts that I made out of scrap metal, I could go on and on. I will post more pics, maybe we can inspire eachother with our home made parts.
