frame/engine number sound like a matched set,id say its a pretty early bike.wasnt there a way to tell roughly when your bike was built by the frame and engine numbers. If so here is mine.
frame: Z1F-16641
engine: Z1E-16937
might be worth finding differant motor to build,those cases and motor are worth some money to a resto nut.
ive got a 73 basket case with 10/72 build date without a title,when the snow leaves ill look in the barn to compare vin with yours

I have ran across two guys who are leaning toward selling me there bikes. And you wont guess what bike it is. 73 z1. cant wait to see whats going to happen. There is another guy that is said to have the first in this area a 78Z1R TC. And he caught word of what I was doing and has said that he was coming over to the garage when the weather breaks.
i love these bikes.

theres still lots of old bikes/cars/trucks sitting in barns and garages a guy just has to spend a lot of time wandering backroads and railroad tracks looking for stuff and old forgotten buildings growing out of the weeds.

ive told omr to show up with a ryder truck on many occasions to lighten the load,but the ol pussy dont like snow! :laugh:
