@danimal: I would LOVE to chop off the back and just make it follow the angle that the gas tank is on (not exactly but you know what I mean lol) but I have zero welding experience and I want to do this all on my own so until I learn how to weld it will stay how it is :S im always looking for a welding set just gotta find the right deal and practice, and thanks man I like yours alot too, especially that battery cover did you make that? also i saw where you were talking about the license plate on the front, that would be bad ass especially since its a military theme on the bike
EDIT: and idk what the rear fender is off of lol, there is a guy who has like five or six semi truck trailers FULL of parts for motorcycles in a town near me

Hey Ricky boby, shake and bake! I have used nothing but 220 migs at all the fab shops i have worked at. sure, they are great, but dont knock a 110 mig.......In my experience stay away from the 110 mig welders, its worth it to get a good used 220 or if possible learn to tig weld... but tig machines are pricey. I used a 110 in my garage and will def have to go back and tig weld it later. The battery box is just a shell now, I need to cram most of the electrical in there, and make the mounting bracket that will also hold the end of the fender..
heres one pass with flux core/no argon. i still had more adjustment on my heat and wire feed. there was a weld there allready from my buddys craftsman 110 mig. now that looked like shit and i had to grind it down flush to cover it. The power of Blue!!! plus if i remember correctly i was about 10 beers deep when i was fixing my friends trailer.:woohoo:

thats his choice. 220 migs are nice. tigs are better. one day ill be able to afford one.:laugh:nice, but if he was wanting to learn he should start with a nice forgiving machine. then he can weld drunk all day long right?
