Instead of clogging up several sub forums I'll post it here.

1.) When doing the airbox delete and using pods what do you do with the breather tube that used to go into the airbox?

2.) Under the Fuel tank has 2 rubber pegs in front and one in the rear, are there 2 others that go on the frame or not on this particular bike? (my 900 had them, cant see any part #s for them on this).

3.) Does the headlight light up with the bike not running? I have not made my maiden voyage as of yet and want to nail down this electrical for sure before completley assembling.

4.) What seat is this? Was looking at covers but my seat is not in the line up:

Any and all help greatly appreciated!!

Jeff

basketcase,
1) crank case breather similar to

2) no, only the two front on the sides and 1 rear in the center of the frame that accepts the tank stud. There is also a rubber strap that attaches to the tang at the rear of the tank.

3)Yes. The head and tail light are intended to be always on and are active when the key is on (center position). With the key all the way to the right (3rd position) only the tail light is on (safety if parked at the side of the road) and the key can be removed from the switch.

4) Aftermarket seat (origin unknown). They were available as a dealer installed option on the original seat pan.

Good Luck
Jim

If you delete the airbox and stock filter, you will certainly have to rejet your carburetors.

Thanks for the help people.

Got the headlight to work (finally), new starter clutch and solenoid. Fired right up and drove great. Tank cap was clogged so I ended up pushing her home, only about a mile but the hills kill.

Raised the pin in the carbs 1 notch and it seems good for right now until I can really go through them, idles and full throttle are solid. Also I noticed that there are no muffler baffles, some custom dualie system and it's loud as heck!

Got it painted and may assemble tomorrow, not sure yet. Need rear blinkers, left mirror, tank and side emblems and that should finish up the odds and ends for this season :woohoo:

PS and that wonderful seat that you posted!!!
