"stock" look tires was created by bobkat66@comporium.net
Greetings - looking for some basic help in regard to tires. I have a 1980 KZ1000 LTD, bought it new in 80 but only put 13,000 miles on it since. Although the sneakers look fine (no cracks/rot etc) just knowing they are 30yrs old the bike does not currently leave the neighborhood. I want it to stay stock with RWL - it has Dunlop Qualifiers, but Dunlop site recomends D404 or GT501's...I found 491 Elite II, with RWL and looks alot like mine, but the size changes to alpha. SO - a lot of wind here for the question: anybody see issues with MM90-19 and MT90-16 as opposed to 100/90-19 and 130/90-16?? (H speed rating is fine).

Thanx

Bob

Dunlop Qualifiers, 491 Elite II, RWL, MM90-19 and MT90-16.

I run those tires with no issues and like 'em just fine! :cheer:

Good Fortune! :)

I know the British made Avon tires have a vintage line, but Dunlop dose also.

Howdy.

MM90-19 = 100/90-19 (MM = 100)
MT90-16 = 130/90-16 .(MT = 130)

Here's a tire size conversion page.

webBikeWorld has several tire pages.
