We are looking forward to the rebuild. So...where did you find the Z1100R....and is it on the KZ1000R.com registry? Was your original KZ1000R on the registry?

Hi Simon, get working on figuring out the picture stuff so you can keep us updated on your progress. I know a guy who just finished fixing up his 1100R... I see him every time I look in the mirror! Here's a shot of my end result.
BTW, I'm with mcdroid, register it at kz1000r.com if the numbers are correct!

Hi Glenn, i have already registered it under my name (Simon Hill) on kz1000r.com, i see that youve gone to town on yours, what a gem. That is the sort of quality job i am aiming to do, apart from the rearsets & possibly some cheaper rear shocks for now until i can justify the price on those lovely performance works ones that you have fitted.

My bike is totaly stripped, frame is now with the acid dipping people, panel work is with a bodyshop, most ancillery parts have already been dipped & powder coated, i have my new kerker, the correct decal kit, the correct paint, the only um & arr i have is the front mudguard, the original z1100r is realy beyond a good repair & dont want to bodge, so i have robbed one from my kz1000, i know the brackets look different but i do prefer the more racey look.

thanks for your response & look forward to showing you more in the near future.

The (K)Z1100R fender is unique to the model so while the J model (KZ1000R=KZ1000J=KZ1100B1-2) will fit, the styling is subtlely different.

I agree that the 1000R front fender style is a bit more "racier", I really like it too. Good choice for a replacement!

Glad you're registered! It's fun to keep track of how many of these models are still out there and where they are.
